Fazenda Bela Vista was founded in 1981 by Paulo Crabi in the rural area of the Minas Gerais city of Elói Mendes. Like any entrepreneur, Paulo started with the planting of just 3450 seedlings.
The simple beginning made Paulo a down-to-earth businessman ensuring his success. Today, there are already more than two million coffee trees planted in 27 properties distributed throughout the south of Minas Gerais. Altogether, there are 1210 hectares, of which 600 ha were planted with coffee and 212 ha are areas preserved by environmental agencies.
In 2015, Grupo Bela Vista entered the area of certifications. Their farms have received the UTZ certificate – good agricultural practices, sustainability, social responsibility and traceability – and the international Rainforest certificate – ecosystem conservation, wildlife preservation, good and fair working conditions.
